What is this speaker?

This model is the result of a design exercise. The task given was to 'design a speaker based on a brand.'

Process

Sketching, mood boards, and research were the primary methods of fostering design thinking during this project.

Sketching, mood boards, and research were the primary methods of fostering design thinking during this project.

Result

This process resulted in a model speaker, made from high-density foam, paint, plastic mesh, CNC-cut stickers, and glue. It was not made to work, and it missed some features that were initially intended, such as studs to connect speakers.

The speaker strongly resembles a red 1 x 1 LEGO headlight brick (part 4070).
